Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Can I run with headphones?
A: No, headphones of any type are prohibited to ensure you can hear marshals and traffic.


Q2: Can I bring a dog or pushchair?
A: Dogs, pushchairs, scooters, bicycles, or wheeled devices are not permitted on the course.


Q3: What if it rains or the weather is bad?
A: The race will go ahead unless conditions are unsafe. Please follow marshal instructions and wear appropriate clothing.


Q4: How do I get to Race HQ?
A: Race HQ is at Pages Park Pavilion, LU7 4TG. What3Words: ///apron.muddy.gift. Parking is on site, and marshals will direct you; it’s only a few minutes away. Parking can be found here: Leighton Buzzard Railway, LU7 4TG, What3Words ///limit.dizzy.quest


Q5: What facilities are available?
A: There are toilets at Race HQ, medical support at the finish, and a range of post-race refreshments including our famous selection of cakes (a contribution to LB Mencap is greatly appreciated.)


Q6: Can I defer or transfer my entry?

A: Unfortunately you cannot defer your entry. If you wish to transfer your place please use the link in your original confirmation email. There is a £2.50 charge to transfer your place. 


Q7: What if I want to withdraw from the race?
A: Please notify a marshal or Race HQ if you withdraw from the race on the day.


Q8: When and how will results be published?
A: Race results will be posted on our website shortly after the event. You will also recieve a text with your results. 


Q9: Who should I contact for questions on race day?
A: Race HQ staff and marshals will be available to assist with any queries.


Q10: Is there water on route?

A: Yes, there is a water station at around 6km on Grovebury Road.


Q11: What shoes should I wear?
A: Although the course is multi-terrain we would recommend wearing road shoes.

 

Q12: Can I get safety pins on the day?
A: Yes, safety pins will be available at Race HQ on the day. 

 

Q13: When will my race number be posted?
A: Race bibs will not be posted. You can collect on the day by showing your QR code (you will recieve this shortly before race day) at the registration desk in Race HQ.


Q13: Is there a cut-off?
A: Yes, the official race cut-off is 10:35am (1 hour 35 minutes). All runners must be finished by this time to be covered by the race insurance and to have access to official support, including marshals, water stations, and timing. Tail runners will be moving at around 15:15 minutes per mile (9:30 min/km). If you expect to be slower than this pace, please plan accordingly to ensure you are fully supported throughout the race.


We welcome runners of all abilities; if this is your first 10K, pace yourself, enjoy the course, and aim to finish before the cut-off to benefit from all race facilities and support.
