2025 Dave Mitchell Memorial Ocean Grove Junior Guard Tournament
Date: Tournament Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025
Location: South End Beach, Embury Ave, Ocean Grove, NJ (Next to Pier)
Late Registration: 8am @ South End Beach

This tournament is only open to junior guards ages 6-13! NO LUNCH PROVIDED!

BYOBB- Bring your own boogie board!!

COST:

1. Early Bird Registration: open until 7/18/25 ($10 per junior lifeguard)  A swag item will be provided to pre-registered Jr Guards.
2. Late Registration: starting 7/19/2025 through day of the tournament: $10 per junior lifeguard - NO SWAG ITEM PROVIDED

Parent/Family Parking:
● Free parking is available on side streets and off the ocean

Order of Events:

Other Information:
● Ribbons will be given to places 1-3 in each age group male and female
● Tournament will be held on South End in Ocean Grove
● There will be two beach flag pits one for boys and one for girls
● Participants are responsible for bringing their own boogie boards no skegs or fins

Sportsmanship and Event Polices:
● Ocean Grove Junior Lifeguard Coaches, Lifeguards, Assistants, Director reserve the right to
change/ and or modify events as needed.
● Parents and families are encouraged to cheer on their respected team but should not be
interfering with the tournament.
● Junior Lifeguards are CHILDREN.
● This is a fun tournament.
● The officials, lifeguards, and coaches are HUMAN.
● Parents & loved ones should cheer for everyone.
● Sportsmanship starts with you (as the parent)!
