Long Branch Junior Lifeguard Tournament 

OPEN FOR JUNIOR GUARDS AGED 9-15

Location: South Pavilion Beach quarter mile to the south of Pier village or Wave Hotel 

Late Registration Shirt Pickup: 8am

Registration Costs:

Early Bird Registration Fee: $30 per junior lifeguard by July 5th

Late-Registration Fee: Available starting 7/6/2024 through day of tournament ($35 per junior lifeguard)

• Disclaimer: Please note, if you have registered AFTER the deadline for early bird registration, you are NOT guaranteed a shirt and will not receive the $5 discount. We HIGHLY recommend that you opt to register with the "early bird price" @ $30 to secure your spot and t-shirt. You will also be able to complete "late registration @ $35" the day of the tournament. 

Parent/Family Parking:

We do not have a designated parking spot for Juniors, so please arrive with time and find a spot in paid parking or one of the side streets. 

Order of Events

Relay Events: 

•  Relays must have at least 1 Junior Guard of each gender can be 3 boys 1 girl, 3 girls 1 boy, or 2 boys 2 girls. 

Flag Colors: 

C Junior Lifeguards: Pink flags 

B Junior Lifeguards: Black flags 

A Junior Lifeguards: White flags 

Sportsmanship and Event Policies: 

Please everyone show up on time and remember we try hard to be as fair as possible, but when there are 500 kids some things may get missed though we promise it's not on purpose. 

Please if you have an issue with a result we do not want any kids leaving upset we will try to have extra ribbons in case there was a close call and it couldn't be determined we will try to get both competitors the same ribbon.

All Parents if you have an issue please do not speak to one of my guards or coaches without talking to your Team Rep first and they will find myself or someone else in charge. Thanks everyone and we can not wait for another incredible year with the kids.

AGE/ GROUP DIVISIONS

Competition classifications: (Changed from “as of July 1 of the current year)

"A" Division - 14 and 15 years of age on the day of the competition

"B" Division - 12 and 13 years of age on the day of the competition

"C" Division - 9 to 11 years of age on the day of the competition

E. In the event a competitor chooses to compete in the next age group division above their specified division, the competitor must remain  in that division for the duration of the competition.
