Registration: 

Early Bird Registration Fee: open until 7/5/24 ($30 per junior lifeguard)

Late Registration Fee: available starting on 7/6 through the day of the tournament ($35 per junior lifeguard) - STARTING AT 8:00AM

• Disclaimer: Please note, if you have registered AFTER the deadline (7/5/2024) for early bird registration, you are NOT guaranteed a shirt and will not receive the $5 discount. We HIGHLY recommend that you opt to register with the "early bird price" @ $30 to secure your spot and t-shirt. You will also be able to complete "late registration @ $35" the day of the tournament, but you may not receive a shirt. SHIRTS ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. ONCE THEY ARE GONE THEY ARE GONE!!!!!!!!

• NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED! CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ONLY. 

• There are NO refunds.

• All Entries Online Only. Register before you leave home or use your phone when you arrive.

AGE/ GROUP DIVISIONS

Competition classifications: (Changed from “as of July 1 of the current year)

"A" Division - 14 and 15 years of age on the day of the competition

"B" Division - 12 and 13 years of age on the day of the competition

"C" Division - 9 to 11 years of age on the day of the competition

"D" Divison- 6 to 8 years of age on the day of the competition

E. In the event a competitor chooses to compete in the next age group division above their specified division, the competitor must remain  in that division for the duration of the competition.

Tournament Shirts: 

Please note that if you have registered AFTER 7/5/2024, you may not recieve a shirt. Shirt pickup for those that registered after 7/5/2024 will be available the day of the tournment starting at 8am. 

Parent/Family Parking: 

• Paid parking is available along Ocean Ave & Silver Lake

• Free parking is available on side streets and off the ocean 

Order of Events

Relay Events:

• All relay events (taplin relay, paddle relay, ironguard relay, surf/swim dash, 4x100 can be: all girls, all boys, or co-ed)

• The Taplin Relays are a variation of the individual Ironman/Ironwoman events. Teams of 4 competitors (1 swimmer, 1 board paddler, 1 surf ski/kayak paddler, and 1 runner) cover the course in a sequence of legs determined by draw at the start of each competition. The run leg is always the final leg.

Director Notes:

• Events will run right after one another and are subject to change in order based on availability of space/equipment or water conditions.

• C Water course will be toward the north, B water course in the middle, and A water course to the south (Water Courses are subject to change)

• Lunch will be distributed as it arrives- please listen to announcements from the DJ!

• Top five finishers in each event will get ribbons.

• Bathrooms are located on 5th and 8th Ave. 

• A - Australian Beach Flags will only be completed if time permits and if A group finishes early. *

Flag Colors: 

D Junior Lifeguards: Purple flags

C Junior Lifeguards: Pink flags 

B Junior Lifeguards: Black flags 

A Junior Lifeguards: White flags 

Other Notes:

• This is a fun tournament. 

• The officials, lifeguards, and coaches are HUMAN.

• Parents & loved ones should cheer for everyone.
