DESCRIPTION
The Paws for a Cause 5K Series is coming to Hastings for a 5K Run/Walk. This Family/Dog friendly event will benefit Animal Ark. The event is sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka and their Vodka for Dog People program. Get this event on your race calendar as a morning of fun is in store...all to help support our furry friends.
RACE FEATURES:
VIRTUAL RACE DETAILS
Not able to make Race Day but still want get some bling and support the charity? Then registering for the Virtual Race is just for you!! The Virtual Race can be run (or walked) anytime and anywhere…even indoors on a treadmill Simply register as a Virtual Runner, complete the distance anytime you desire and email us your results (be honest) to post. We will mail you a complete Paws for a Cause 5K goodie bag including T-Shirt, Finishers Medal, Race Bib and other Tito’s swag within 15 days of the conclusion of the event. (NOTE: Virtual participants are not eligible for Finishers and Age Group Awards)
POST RACE FESTIVITIES
Plan on joining us at The Onion Grille following the race. They will be opening early for us at 10:30. Here you can redeem your Tito's drink ticket and plan on staying aroud for some lunch and perhaps another Tito's!! We thank them for their hospitality. Unofrtunately, the City of Hastings is NOT dog-friendly in places where food is being served so we can't bring along our furry friends...ugh!! But we'll still have a good time.
ANIMAL ARK
We will be running to raise awareness and funds for Animal Ark. At Animal Ark we embrace and follow a no kill philosophy in our work to Rescue, Rehabilitate, & Re-home Minnesota’s lost and homeless companion animals every year. We are honored to have the opportunity to serve these amazing animals, their new adoptive families, and the many communities across Minnesota. While nothing can compare to the comforts of home, Animal Ark strives to provide an enriching environment for our shelter animals. With Animal Ark’s staff providing basic medical care and keeping of our shelter animals, a dedicated group of volunteers provides the next level of care, making the rehabilitation of these wonderful animals possible.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This scenic out and back route will take us along the Mississippi River Regional Trail.

RACE DAY DETAILS:
The run starts promptly at 9:00 AM. On-site Registration and packet pick up begins at 7:30 AM. We recommend arriving early and giving yourself enough time get your your race packet and get to the start line. We ask that runners start in the front, with walkers and those with dogs and strollers start to the back.
PARKING:
There is ample parking in the Levee Park neighborhood...please be mindful of local parking restrictions.
AWARDS:
All participants will receive a custom finishers medal...including Dogs!! The top three male and female will be recognized as well as top male and female in predetermined age groups.
PRE RACE PACKET PICKUP:
There will not be a pre race day packet pickup. On-site regsitration and packet pick up will begin at 7:30 AM on Race Day at the Race Venue.
