WelcomeTrailX 2018 Trail Running, taking place at taking place at Matterley Basin, near Winchester

It is with great regret that we have had cancel he Summer Trail Running Challenge  ☹

There are 2 main reasons for this decision. 

The first is entirely our responsibility; due to not having told enough people about the great things we had planned, there were only a handfull of people who entered.  We feel that to appreciate the event to its full extent, it should be shared with as many fellow competitors as possible – and with such a small number of runners, your enjoyment would be jeopardised.

The second reason is that our friends at the Boom Town Fair who share the venue with us have had to bring their extensive build schedule forward by two weeks.  Therefore, our planned running courses were going to be compromised.  Whilst we could have found a solution, the courses really wouldn’t have been as good as we feel they should be.

I’m very sorry that our decision will have affected your plans, but please be assured that the TrailX Trail Running Challenge will be back to Matterley Basin so please keep in touch with us on Facebook (@trailxuk) and on Instagram (@trailxuk) and we’ll keep you up to speed with our future events!

Matterley Basin is situated on the top of the South Downs, its blessed with stunning views to distract you from achy legs and varied terrain to keep you thinking. Regardless of which distance you choose to run you’ll enjoy a fully marked route that will twist and turn along woodland trails, whizz across farmland and hammer up and down gravel tracks.

Distances and ages (the exact routes are yet to be confirmed so these distances may alter very slightly):

• 2km - Minimum age: 5 y/o 
• 5km – Minimum age: 12 y/o
• 10km – Minimum age: 16 y/o

Note: Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult, who do not need to enter the event, but if they don't they will not have a result recorded.

(Ages are based on your age at the end of the current calendar year)
