PARKING / LOCAL RESIDENTS

  1. Only park in one of the two car parks that you will be directed to by the marshals
  2. Do not park in the village or on the grass verges
  3. Do not park in the Rose Inn pub car park
  4. Please respect the local residents, they live in the village and put up with us runners invading their normally quiet village

Failure to comply = team DQ'd = no run, no refund, no entry next year!

 

RACE HQ

  1. Race HQ is in the foyer area of Redwick Community Centre, we do not have use of the main hall
  2. Team managers are the only ones allowed to pick up the race numbers/batons
  3. Toilet facilities are available in the race HQ

 

START / CHANGE-OVER / FINISH AREA

  1. When supporting your fellow runners do not stand in the road, it is not a closed road, traffic has priority
  2. Stay on the pavement or grass verge
  3. Do not encroach on the finish funnel
  4. Do not obstruct the timekeepers view
  5. If you are told to move by an official, do so immediately!

Failure to comply = team DQ'd = no run, no refund, no entry next year!

 

Race HQ open for baton/number pickup 5:30PM to 6:45PM - team managers only please.
 

A running relay event comprising of 3 people to a team, each person completing one lap of the course carrying a baton. Race distance:  3.074Km / 1.91 Miles per lap.

RULES

  • Club colours, where appropriate, must be worn
  • A runner may only run once for the same team, but can run for multiple teams
  • Each team will be allocated a set of race numbers, with each team member being identified as A, B, C
  • Runners must run in order
  • Numbers must be worn on the front
  • Each team will also be given a 'chip-timing baton', this baton is to be passed to each each runner at the end of a lap, then handed in to the baton collection team at the end of the last leg
  • Race numbers and team baton are to be collected on the night - only by the team manager
  • Obey the marshals’ instructions and do not block the officials’ view at the changeover
  • IMPORTANT RULE - PARKING - ONLY PARK IN THE DESIGNATED CAR PARK, YOU WILL BE GUIDED BY MARSHALS. DO NOT PARK ON ANY TAPED OFF GRASS AREAS. YOUR TEAM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF YOU DO.

PLEASE SHOW RESPECT TO OTHER PARTICIPANTS – DO NOT WARM UP OR DOWN ON THE COURSE WHILST THE RACE IS IN PROGRESS

ENTRY DETAILS

IN ADVANCE VIA THE ONLINE ENTRY SYSTEM - The fee is £15 per team. Plus a debit/credit/paypal processing fee from the payment provider.

ON THE NIGHT - ONLY IF RACE IS NOT ALREADY FULL.

  • The race is limited to 120 teams
  • We will not be operating a reserve list
  • All runners must be 11 years of age or older
  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PARENTAL CONSENT 
    If you have included a juvenile in a team you must have the parental consent to do so. By proceeding with this entry you confirm that you have either obtained the consent of the parent or are the parent who is giving consent for the juvenile to take part in the event. All juvenile runners must have a responsible adult at the event for their safety and well-being.

FACILITIES

  • Parking is free, but please ‘car share’
  • There are toilets available at the race HQ
  • Please take away all your rubbish

PRESENTATIONS

These will take place in the race HQ as soon as possible after the last runner has finished.

TEAM CATEGORIES

  • There will be awards for teams in the following categories
  • All categories are calculated by adding up the ages of each runner in the team
  • Running club teams must all be members of the same club
  • A team comprising members of more than one athletic club must enter the appropriate ‘All-Comers’ category

RC Men - totalling up to 104 years

RC Men Masters 1 - totalling 105 - 149 years

RC Men Masters 2 - totalling 150 - 199 years


RC Ladies - totalling up to 104 years

RC Ladies Masters 1 - totalling 105 - 149 years

RC Ladies Masters 2 -  totalling 150 - 199 years


ALLCOMERS TEAMS

Allcomers Men
Allcomers Ladies
Allcomers Mixed 1 - totalling up to 149 years
Allcomers Mixed 2 - totalling over 150 years
Allcomers 200+ - totalling over 200 years - these can be male, female or mixed, running club or non-running club

THE COURSE

Entirely on-road using the Rose Inn Race Series course. There will be marshals’ at all key points.

  • Run under WA rules, permit applied for
  • Accurately measured and certified course
