DESCRIPTION

The inaugural Paws for a Cause 5K is coming to Louisville for a 5K Run/Walk. This Family Friendly event will benefit The Arrow Fund. The event is sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka and their Vodka for Dog People program. Get this event on your race calendar as a morning of fun is in store...all to help support our furry friends.

 POST RACE FESTIVITIES

Join us for a Post Race Party being held a Hoops Grill and Sports Bar located at 6733 Strawberry Lane in Louisville sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka. This will be a great venue to wind down after the run/walk and enjoy some food and livations. Each registrant will receive ONE complimentary drink ticket good for a Tito's beverage of your choice. (21+).

THE ARROW FUND

We will be running to raise awareness and funds for The Arrow Fund. which is dedicated to increasing public awareness of all forms of animal cruelty by providing veterinary care and support to animal victims of extreme torture, abuse, and neglect and encouraging vigorous criminal prosecution of animal abusers. In addition, The Arrow Fund endorses and supports other animal protection efforts including, but not limited to: specialized animal welfare training for law enforcement; aggressive spay/neuter initiatives; humane education of children: and other programs that encourage a more humane world for animals.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This route is a 5K PLUS (approx 5.45 KM) as we circle around the Iriquois Park. In order to have a proper staging and finish we decided to give you a little BONUS in order to assure a safe running experience. http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/1490830726/

RACE DAY DETAILS:

The run starts promptly at 8:00 AM. Registration begins at 6:30 AM. We recommend arriving early and giving yourself enough time get your your race packet and get to the start line. We ask that runners start in the front, with walkers and those with strollers start to the back. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is a dog friendly event, however all dogs must be leashed at all times during the event. By regsitering and having a dog in attendance, you assume all liabilty and release all sponsors, organizers and municipalites from any liability arising from your pets actions.

PARKING:

There is ample parking in the Iriquois Parking lots. Should this space be exceeded please park on neighboring streets...and be mindful of local parking restrictions.

AWARDS:

All participants will receive a custom finishers medal. The top three male and female will be recognized as well as top male and female in predetermined age groups.

There will be pre-race packet pick up on Friday 5/19/2017 from 5-6:30 PM at Iroqouis Park.
