Race Overview

Join us for the 1st Annual Touch of Grace 5K and Fun Run on Friday, June 30th at 6:30pm!  The course will cover the Morganton Greenway, starting at the Catawba Meadows area.  Your canine friends are encouraged to join you for the event!

Beneficiary

Proceeds of the event will be donated to A Touch of Grace, which is an animal welfare fund established in memory of Gracie Avery, a sixteen year old beagle mix, that passed away in December 2016. A Touch of Grace animal welfare fund was established to benefit animals that are in need of medical care, love, and a touch of grace. As a new fund, A Touch of Grace needs your help to expand its capacity for helping animals in need.

Race Details

Cost for the 5K is $25 and participants recieve a finisher's ribbon and race t-shirt.  Overall and Age Group Winners, male and female, will be recognized. Age Group categories fro the 5K are as follows:

<9 years old; 10-19 years old; 20-29 years old; 30-39 years old; 40-49 years old; 50-59 years old; 60-69 years old; 70+ years old

Cost for the 1 Mile Competitive Youth Run is $15 and participants will receive a finisher's ribbon and race t-shirt.  Male and female age group winners will be recognized in the following categories:

<5 years old; 6-10 years old; 11-15 years old

Cost for the Fun Run (non-competitive) is $15 and participants will receive a finisher's ribbon and race t-shirt.

If you are unable to join us on the day and time of the event, but still want to support A Touch of Grace, there is a Virtual Participant option for $25.  Race shirts and finishers' ribbons will be mailed to Virtual Participants around the time of the race (within a week before or after the event). 

Online registration is open until June 24th.  On-site registration will be available during packet pick-up on June 28th between 5-7pm and from 5-6pm on race day, June 30th.  Once online registration closes, cost increases $5 for each event.

VOLUNTEERS!  We absolutely could not have a successful event without our volunteers.  If you are interested in helping with set up, on-site registration, packet pick-up, handing out water to competitors, cheering for participants on the course, or other tasks, you can sign up online or by emailing shoresmultisport@gmail.com.  There will be a volunteer information meeting on June 24th.  Volunteers will receive a free volunteer t-shirt.
