North Coast Ultra 2017

Discover the early spring in Tisvilde Hegn and Heather Hill, two unique North Zealand wilderness and forrest areas.

Discover how the wind and the sea is tearing down the cliffs along the coast between Heather Hill and Tisvildeleje.

 
Discover kilometers of trail running on narrow, winding forest paths, along lakes, grasslands, dunes, pine forest, beech forest, hills and much more.

You can run either 53 km, 29 km or 13 km, with an absolute minimum of asphalt, gravel roads and large forest trails.

NCU Large, is about 53 km of trail running with 850 positive vertical meters of climbing. The race starts at Heather Hill near Rågeleje. You follow Nordkyststien and the beach with the steep cliffs, that the sea and the wind have teared down for many years, towards Tisvildeleje. Hereafter Tisvilde Hegn awaits, witj its many small climbs and many kilometers of narrow, winding single trails. After a detour to Liseleje and Melby across grasslands you return along the beach, before you run back into Tisvilde Hegn. Here awaits the last few km and the 10 ravines before you run to the finish in the parking lot at the beach in Tisvildeleje. You earn 2 ITRA / UTMB point.

NCU Medium, is about 29 km. The race starts and ends at the parking lot by the beach in Tisvildeleje. From here you run into Tisvilde Hegn, where 675 positive vertical meters up and down many small steep hills awaits. It is just over 28 km run on narrow, winding single trails, plus a little beach and forest road, in a very diverse terrain and with many different kinds of surfaces. You earn 1 ITRA / UTMB point.

NCU Small, is about 13 km. The race starts and ends at the parking lot by the beach in Tisvildeleje. It is 13 km trail running with approximately 325 positive vertical meters up and down, in a very diverse terrain and with many different kinds of surfaces.

The race will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2017 around Tisvildeleje in North Zealand.

Online fee of 6,25 kr. is included in the price.

 

When you sign up for North Coast Ultra, you will get a pair of Teko trail socks with a face value of 130 kr.

After your registration you will receive a receipt by e-mail. In the receipt you will find a link that you must use if you need to make changes to your registration, for example change the name or distance, a change costs 20 kr.

You can change the distance until 23/03/2017. After that date it is only possible to change other informations, such as name to 31/03/2017.
 
It is possible to signing up on race day, 1 April, for NCU medium and NCU small, there is extra cost of 50 kr. If there are still vacant startnumbers.

Do you want to take a closer look at Tisvilde Hegn and what awaits you Saturday, April 1, then join us exploring the course. We run a social jog around for 60-75 minutes where everyone can participate. We split up into two teams divided by tempo. After the run we serve some hot and cold drinks and some treats from our partners.

Sunday, March 5 at. 10:00, starting from the car park by the beach in Tisvildeleje. Address Hovedgaden 112, 3220 Tisvildeleje

It costs 35 kr. to register. Max 50 entries per event.

When you cross the finish line and you are tired and hungry we can be ready with North Zealand's best burger and fries from the Gastro Food Truck. Order it now so that you are sure that there are any back when you finish.

For 70 kr. You get a lava stone grilled burger of Danish meat with homemade tarragon mayo, a great steak tomato, cucumber, salad and home-pickled red onions in a grilled brioche bun. For 20 kr. Extra, you also get super delicious and crunchy great pommes frits with dip.

Not a meat lover, you can also choose a veggie burger, which is made of seasonal Danish vegetables.

UltrAspire folding cup with NCU logo. Lightweight, flexible cup that can be folded and put in your pocket, can be reused many times. It is mandatory equipment to bring a cup during the race. Handed out when you pick up your start number. Price 50 kr.

OMM Trail t-shirt with long sleeves and NCU logo in blue. Lightweight breathable t-shirt in super quality. Siza S, M, L, XL. Handed out when you pick up your start number. Price 300 kr.
 

Ultra Spry 2.0, is one of the lightest running vests on the market and has a super fit and many useful pockets. Along with a UltrAspire soft bottle is the perfect setup if you want to run fast to the North Coast Ultra. You can buy both for just 700 kr. (Normal price 850 kr.) Handed out along with your start number or can be sent to you by freight. Write to us if you want to have it sent before the race.

Refund of entry fee:

Should you want to cancel your registration due to injury or other circumstances, you can receive a refund of some of the registration fee:

Until 1 February 2017 - 75% of the entry fee

Until March 1, 2017 - 50% of the entry fee

Money will be returned to the credit card you used in connection with your registration. It may take a few weeks before the money is returned to your account.
