STAFFORD HARRIERS Running Club, ASSISTED BY COUNTY OFFICERS R.C.

Postponement: The Relays were originally planned for 15th June. However we needed to postpone them due to adverse weather conditions and widespread damage to the grounds by a previous Event.

The course is approximately 2.4 miles of tarmac drives and solid woodland pathways. Teams comprise of 4 competitors representing Running or Athletic clubs, groups of friends, work colleagues, family, other sporting clubs and shops. The event includes the annual inter-departmental Staffs County and Borough Council competition.

Trophy – Fastest Male and Female.     Awards to Team winners in each category.

New for 2016 Medals for ALL FINISHERS.

Categories

Prizes awarded to each member of the winning teams in the following categories:

  1. Male Team  (Open)
  2. Female Team  (Open)
  3. Mixed Team  (at least 2 females)
  4. Mixed veteran Team (at least 2 females over 160 team total age)
  5. Male Veteran team (over 160 years team total age)
  6. Female Veteran team (over 160 years team total age)
  7. Male Super Veteran team (over 200 years team total age)
  8. Female super veteran team (over 200 years team total age)
  9. Ultra Super Vets (over 240 years team total age)
  10. Boys team (64 years or under team total age)
  11. Girls Team (64 years or under team total age)
  12. Mixed Team under 64 years (at least 2 girls)
  13. Boys Team (52 years or under team total age)
  14. Girls Team (52 years or under team total age)
  15. SCC Inter departmental Team (Any Mixture)
  16. Works Team from a place of work e.g. factory, shop, office, service etc
  17. Family Team (including at least 2 children under 16)

Best Team Name award
The 2015 award went to "Lean, Green, Bald and Mean!" (Trentham Running Club). Can you do better?

How to get there

The Shugborough Estate is about 4 miles from Stafford and is signposted from J13 of the M6. The main entrance is located at Milford Common on the A513. You can enter on the night of the race only along the estate exit road.
