Event Overview

Welcome to the inaugural Everglades Half Marathon, a South Florida running experience hosted at Everglades Holiday Park and produced by Extreme Sports Production, Inc., the team behind more than 40 Everglades cycling events over the past eight years. Our goal is to offer a unique running event that showcases Florida’s most important biological resource and allows you to experience one of the world’s natural wonders firsthand.

This race is limited to 250 runners, creating a more personal and manageable event atmosphere. Register early to secure your spot in year one.

Runner Perks

All half marathon participants receive a custom finisher medal, unique awards for overall and age group winners, and an official premium runner hat. Along the course, you’ll also enjoy well-stocked water and nutrition stations to keep you fueled from start to finish.

Important: The event is capped at 250 runners, so once the field is full, registration should be considered closed.

Registration & Race Day Info

Registration & PERSONALZED BIBS

Online registration will automatically cose as soon as the event reaches capacity. Custom event bibs and personalized names are provided registration is completed by November 1, 2026.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be held at the Runner's Depot located in Weston, Florida. Bibs and merchandise can be picked up the week prior to the event.

Chip Timing

Official chip timing will be provided by Extreme Sports Production, Inc. Bibs must be worn on the front of the body and must be located outside of any clothing and must not be bent or altered in any manner. The bibs must we worn in the proper orientation. Failure to adhere to these requirements may result your time not being captured.

ABOUT THE Course & Venue

The Everglades Half Marathon is a destination-style adventure run on gravel service roads in the heart of the Florida Everglades at Everglades Holiday Park, offering a rare chance to race through this unique ecosystem.

Event setting

The race takes place entirely on gravel service right-of-ways used to manage the vast Florida Everglades ecosystem, giving runners an immersive off-the-beaten-path experience. The event is permitted by the South Florida Water Management District and Broward County Parks and Recreation, underscoring its unique access to this protected environment.

Everglades Holiday Park experience

Everglades Holiday Park offers airboat tours starting at 9:00 a.m., making it easy to turn race day into a full Everglades adventure on the water as well as on the trails. You can preview the layout of the park and plan your visit using the official park map.

Course layout and terrain

The course follows an out‑and‑back loop with a split timing mat just after the 6‑mile turnaround, ensuring accurate splits and a clear halfway point. Several water stations will be available along the route, and the gravel road surface is suitable for both standard running shoes and trail shoes, with large A‑frame course markers guiding you throughout.

Timing and atmosphere

This race is one of the rare occasions a running event is held inside the Florida Everglades, adding to its adventurous appeal. With civil twilight around 6:28 a.m. and a 7:00 a.m. start, runners will see the landscape gradually light up before a 7:51 a.m. sunrise, offering spectacular views if the weather cooperates.

On-course photography

Photographers will be stationed on the course to capture the action, so participants can take home images of their Everglades running adventure. This adds an extra layer of excitement, allowing runners to relive the experience long after race day.
