1. Polarbear Marathon – Nuuk, Greenland 2026

Welcome to the once in a lifetime of the Polarbear Marathon in Nuuk - Tuesday, July 7, 2026. 

There is room for everyone, but the race is especially aimed at runners who collect countries. There is only the opportunity to run a half marathon and a marathon. The start and finish are near the city center of Nuuk. The route takes place partly around the city, and comes around the outskirts of the city and is several laps.

This is what you get for your registration fee:

• Unique Polarbear Marathon medal for EVERYONE
• Refreshments in the start/finish area – water and energy, but remember your own cup
• Diploma after the race
• Marked route and officials at the start/finish area.
• After the race we will meet for the award ceremony of medals and diplomas.

Race pack collection: Monday, July 6 at 05:00 pm at HHE Express in the lobby. Participation is mandatory.

Start: Tuesday, July 7 at 06:00 am (local time) for both distances

Location: TBA, and will be announced when the race route is determined.

Price: DKK: 450,- for both distance

Rules for the race:

• You must wear a GPS watch during the race, and may be asked after the race to show the race route.
• Max. Time for completing the race 7 hours + tolerance
• No litter may be thrown on the route and will result in disqualification.
• Traffic rules must be followed, as the route is NOT closed to traffic

After registering for the race, you have the opportunity to participate in the WhatsApp group and receive the latest news about the race, transport, accommodation, Visa, etc. The race organizers will send you an invitation to participate in the group, if you provide your mobile number and have WhatsApp installed on your mobile.

Rules: Participants must be at least 18 years old, maximum 50 participants and last registration is June 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM

The  weather can be very changeable, so it can be both hot and cool, so remember warm clothes.

It is bright from early morning approx. 4:00 until 00:30 night, so no headlamp needed.
