About the Enduro Challenge
The Pearlgate Enduro Challenge is a timed endurance event where runners complete as many laps as possible within their selected time limit.
There are no elimination rounds and no required pace. You control your effort, breaks, nutrition and race strategy. Run continuously, mix running and walking, or stop at your personal setup whenever you need to refuel and recover.
Your final result is based on the total distance completed before your event ends.

New for 2026: The 4-Hour Event
The new 4-Hour Enduro is an accessible introduction to timed endurance racing. It is ideal for runners who want to try the format, build toward a longer endurance event or take on a focused afternoon challenge.
The Course
The event takes place entirely on the measured outdoor track at Pearlgate Track & Field in Mount Pearl.
Runners will change direction during the event to reduce the strain associated with continually turning in the same direction:
- First four hours: Counter-clockwise
- Second four hours: Clockwise
- Final four hours: Counter-clockwise
Event officials will provide instructions before each direction change. Runners must follow all on-course signage and volunteer directions.
Event Highlights
- Flat and accurately measured track course
- Live electronic lap counting and race results
- Easy access to personal gear, nutrition and crew support
- Three event distances for different experience levels
- Supportive endurance-running community
- Awards and recognition for top performances
How It Works
Each runner will wear a timing bib or transponder that records completed laps. Participants may run, walk or take breaks throughout the event.
Only fully completed laps recorded before the end of your event will count toward your official result. Additional timing procedures and final-lap instructions will be included in the Race Day Guide.
Who Should Enter?
Enduro is suitable for experienced ultrarunners, first-time timed-event participants and runners looking for a unique endurance challenge.
There is no minimum distance requirement. Your goal can be a personal distance milestone, a steady training day, an all-out competitive performance or simply seeing how long you can keep moving.

Advance registration is required. Select the 4-Hour, 6-Hour or 12-Hour event during registration.
