Brazos Race Series

Each participant’s division is determined by their age on December 31st of the series year.
All Waco Striders members are automatically entered into the race series.
Series points are awarded to participants in each race, provided membership status is active.
All races are scored from the official run time records.
Series points are assigned to the top 9 finishers in each age division as follows: 10, 9, 8, and so on down to 2.
All finishers, after the first 9 in each division, are awarded 1 point for competing.
For races with multiple timed distances, each competitive distance is scored separately and equally.
Race series participants can earn a volunteer bonus of 5 points by volunteering at one race series event. To receive the bonus, volunteers must sign up through the RunSignUp and then check-in at packet pickup or at the race day registration table.
Final series standings are calculated as the sum of the top 4 scores from all series races plus the volunteer bonus (if earned).
- Tie breakers are determined in the following order:
  1. Highest score at any race, then
  2. Greatest number of times achieving that score, then
  3. Highest combined score of top two races, then
  4. Highest combined score of top three races, and so on as needed.

1st place Male and Female in each series division receive a commemorative prize
Male and Female participants in each series division who place 2nd and 3rd receive a commemorative award.
Members who compete in all 9 series races (or 8 and volunteer at the 9th) receive a series completion award.
Awards are presented at the Waco Striders Annual Banquet in January of the following year.
