EVENT SUMMARY

The course length for each event will be set out so that the fastest riders will be completing race runs in around the 1 minute mark. This should provide close racing in all categories and help riders with the shorter push back up to the top to complete practice runs. A push up route will be marked in close proximity of the race track for race encouragement to be exchanged. Due to the nature of the short tracks, riders will be encouraged not to stop during practice runs to limit any course congestion.

On the morning of the event, track maintenance and marking will be carried out this will limit any excessive practice by riders and will also help ensure the tracks are in the best condition for racing. We please ask that if you come across any freshly prepared trails that you keep off them until after the event, these will likely be blocked off.

Marshals will be required on the day but with using short courses we will not require high numbers, please help us with this if possible.

On the day, 2 race runs with fastest time counted. With the series, each race run will be classed as a round, i.e. rounds 1 and 2 are the two race runs on the 29th March event, with 5 rounds out of the 6 counting, with worst result to be dropped.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

10-13yrs RIPPERS

This is a downhill event, and the courses used will be blue/red graded, there will be a wide variety of features on course, some will be rollable or have alternative lines. We must insist that anyone wanting to enter has experience of riding these sorts of trails. They must also have a full working bicycle and one that is suitable for use. Following British Cycling regs, riders must also have a full-face helmet, back/chest protector and knee pads, we would also highly recommend gloves and elbow pads. Please note that without these, you will not be allowed to enter the event, and checks will be made before practice commences.

THE ORGANISERS HAVE FINAL SAY ON ENTRANCE ELIGIBLTY.

E-BIKE CATEGORIES

All e-bike cats, will be limited to 4 full practice runs, with the courses being short and the obvious advantage of being able to get to the top very quickly, we want to make sure that everyone gets fair practice time and try to keep congestion to a minimum. We will also mark out a “ride up route” to keep congestion down on the push up route.

All events will be run under British Cycling rules and regulations, all event entrants will be emailed race rules and regulations.
