Thank you for registering for the Zimmerhanzel Express. We're excited to have everyone come and have a great day of gravel, beer, and BBQ. Here is all the info you will need to have a great time.

Packet Pick Up Times: Sunday morning from 7-8:30  At the blue refreshments shack. Look for the red check-in flag. We may have a flash number pickup on Saturday night. We will announce that on social media if we do.

Parking: The Friends of Zimmerhanzel (F.O.Z) will be on hand to help you with parking. Please enter and exit the lot at the red Trek flag.

Rider Packets / numbers: We have chip timing. Your number must be attached to your handlebars in order for our system to record your time. Along with your number you will get a ticket. This ticket is for your BBQ plate. Don't lose your ticket! No ticket = no BBQ! Our BBQ provider will be selling a limited amount of plates to non-participants if you wish. Cash and Venmo only.

Zapalac Coaster Riders:

Feel free to leave for your ride whenever you are ready. Just make sure to roll over the start line so we know you left and make sure to roll over it again when you finish so we know you are back safely. We will give you an official time. We start serving BBQ at 11am. So plan your ride to make it back in time for lunch. We will close off the start line at 8:45 to start the Zimmerhanzel Express mass start race at 9 am. Feel free to start your ride after the racers leave if you like.

Zimmerhanzel Express Racers:

  • Racer Meeting at 8:50 am at the startline
  • Start / Neutral rollout: We will have about a 2 mile neutral rollout. Please stay behind the moto. 

Course Info: The course will be marked with arrow signs and spray paint on the road at turns. The spray paint markings will say 60 or 30. If you are doing the 60 mile route, follow yellow arrows. If you are doing the 30 mile route, follow the red arrows. There will be three aid stations along the 60 mile route, at miles 21,32 and 44.There is one aid station on the 30 mile route at mile 14.1. All aid stations will be stocked with nutrition courtesy of Crankbox,Pickle Juice Sport and good old H2O. Make sure to thank the F.O.Z at the aid stations.

Motos, broomwagons and “ I need help”

We will have a leed moto for the Express. We will also have a broom wagon leaving at 11 am to sweep the course. We will also provide a SAG service. Text Dave at 512-718-6129 for SAG service. First aid on site ,BUT OF COURSE ,call 911 if you encounter a medical emergency situation. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday Morning . The Nash Brothers will have a big ol bonfire waiting for ya!
