Smiles for Miles 5K

We are a Junior Leadership team through Leadership Northeast hosting a 5K to raise awareness in our community about special needs and inclusions in the workforce. We are proud partners with Coffee Inclusive and the Jumpstart Cart, and all of our proceeds will go to help them and to help support their mission of creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Location Back Mountain Trail Course, 59 Parry St., Luzerne, April 18, 2026 - Time: 10:00 a.m.

LOCATION:

• Start and finish at Back Mountain Trail Course, 59 Parry St, Luzerne, Pa 18709
• Limited parking will be onsite. Overflow parking will be available in downtown Luzerne and in the Luzerne Shopping Center. Please be mindful of Luzerne residents and do not block and driveways or egresses.

FEES:

• Pre-registration: $30.00 - Register by Sunday April 12th & Receive Limited Edition Race Tee. If you register after 4/12/26 you will not recieve tee. Additional Race Tees are available at time of registration for $15 ea.
• After 4/12/26 to Day of Race: $35.00 - Race tee will be available for purchase at the online swag store along with Hats, Scarves, Tees, Hoodies, Stickers & more. 
• Day of race registration will be open until 9:45 am, by original registration link and Onsite QR Code Quick Registration.
• Processing Fee: $6
• No refunds will be given. In the event you register and are unable to attend, registration will be looked at as a donation.
• Check-in tables will be open at 8:45 a.m. at Back Mountain Trail Course, 59 Parry St, Luzerne, Pa 18709

Smiles for Miles 5K Swag Store, shop.getsomespirit.com/SFM5K, will be available until one week after race, 4/25/26 @ midnight. Various race apparel will be available such as hoodies, tees, long sleeves, moisture wicking items, hats, beanies, stickers & magnets to name a few. All items will be delivered approx 2-3 weeks later.
