Freiburg Trailrun – Experience Trailrunning in the Black Forest

The Freiburg Trailrun is a new trailrunning event in the Black Forest and was held for the first time in Freiburg im Breisgau in 2026. Expect technically demanding trails, steep climbs and impressive views of the local mountains such as Schauinsland and Kybfelsen.

As an event by runners for runners, the Freiburg Trailrun stands for an authentic running experience that combines sporting challenge with a strong connection to nature. The focus is on honest elevation gain, a high percentage of trails and a clear philosophy: sustainable, locally rooted and independently organized.

Courses & Experience

The Freiburg Trailrun offers two challenging distances in the Black Forest:

  • Short course (Kybfelsen Trail) – ideal for ambitious beginners
