On 28 March 2026, Rønde Folk High School will host the Danish Adventure Racing Championships!
Join us for an exciting adventure in the beautiful nature that Djursland is famous for. The route will be completely unique, taking place in areas that have never before hosted an adventure race (Challenge distance)!
You will cooperate, slide, laugh, navigate, run, and climb—before finally enjoying a well-deserved delicious meal, cozy moments, tall tales, and a beer or soda by the bonfire at the folk high school.
Three different and exciting routes will be designed, so you and your team can choose exactly the challenge that suits you best 💪
Start and finish are located at Rønde Folk High School.
Find a team, sign up, and prepare for an amazing day with sweat on your brow!
It will be possible to rent a high-quality mountain bike for the race if you need one.
Of course, there will be cozy prizes for all winners 🏆
The race is organized by Christoffer Troelsgård, former Danish champion multiple times in adventure racing.
For families who want an awesome day together. Fun, teamwork, and great experiences are at the center. The route will take place in and around Rønde Folk High School.

You are the cool team ready for a challenge! You will be sent out on a route around Rønde and the nearby forests. You will be challenged physically and in your teamwork skills.
You will cycle, run, climb, do light navigation, and complete fun tasks.
If you’re ready to be challenged and maybe haven’t tried adventure racing before, this is the distance for you.

Cycling: 10–15 km
Running: 5–8 km
Team: 2–4 people, Mixed / Female / Male
Bikes: MTB / city bike / women’s bike allowed
E-bikes permitted, but participation will be outside competition

Is your team ready for the ultimate challenge? On this distance, it’s time to go all out!
You will cover a large part of Djursland—this will be epic. You will cycle, run, navigate (map-based), and work closely together.
If you are an experienced recreational athlete, have tried adventure racing before, or something similar, the Challenge distance is for you.
Keywords: Steep hills and deep valleys, cycling (MTB, no e-bikes), special tasks, climbing, orienteering, bike ’n’ push, pancakes, teamwork, and endurance.
Duration: 8 hours

Price: 1,800 DKK per team

The race is part of the DARU Cup, which can be found at the Dansk Adventure Race Union.
Personal license: Everyone participating in the Challenge category in a DARU Cup race must have a personal license.
The license is valid for one year and applies to all DARU Cup races. This means that once you have obtained a license, it is valid for the rest of the season.
You will automatically be assigned a license when you register.
