The Alice Springs Marathon has been held yearly since The Alice Springs Running & Walking Club's inception in 1979.

The Marathon was recognised nationally and internationally as an extremely friendly and well-organised event, attracting interstate and international competitors and local entrants.

2018 was the last time the event was held. 2025 saw the return of this genuinely well-regarded marathon to Australia's running calendar.

We look forward to bringing this event with a renewed vision in the future. We have recently confirmed our date for 2026, 19th July!!
