Statement from the Dan Kneen Charitable Fund
After careful consideration, we’ve taken the decision not to stage Le Dans 24 in 2026.
Rising costs, limited time, and the personal commitments involved in delivering an event of this scale mean it isn’t possible for us to run it this year in the way we would want to. Le Dans has been a brilliant community effort over the past five years, raising more than £23,000, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported it — from entrants and volunteers to sponsors and spectators.
Although Le Dans will take a break, the Dan Kneen Charitable Fund remains fully active. Our focus this year is on delivering TORQ, the Fund’s welfare support service, at the TT, Manx Grand Prix and Southern 100. TORQ provides confidential, non‑clinical support to riders, close family and marshals affected by serious incidents across the road‑racing community, and this work remains our priority.
TORQ has become an important part of how Dan’s name continues within the sport — a practical, year‑round way of supporting people in the moments that matter most.
We’ll continue to review what’s possible for future fundraising activity, but for now we want to acknowledge the huge effort that goes into Le Dans and thank everyone who has helped make it such a positive part of the Fund’s story.
All entries already submitted we will be in touch to refund you.
