We make this decision and announcement with great disappointment! In order to ensure the safety of all participants, sponsors and volunteers we will be officially cancelling the Causeway Cares 5k. This includes the race shirt, swag bag pickup and the check proceeds presentation. Even driving in this storm looks to be hazardous. We will schedule shirt and swag bag pickup for all registered participants next week.Look for the email shortly. Once again we sincerely thank all participants and sponsors as all proceeds will be split three ways and donated to Fulfill, Meals on Wheels and Project Home Repair! Your registration fee and sponsorship will help fight food and housing insecurity in Ocean County! Be safe this weekend!
Why We Run...
Causeway Cars and Causeway CARes have been raising awareness and money for community issues in Ocean County since 1969. Issues like homelessness, food insecurity, education, senior and veteran’s needs, and many more. Since its inception in 2018, The Causeway 5k has raised more than $215,000 to help Ocean County residents improve the quality of their lives. All proceeds are donated to Ocean County non-profit organizations.
