Danish Championships in the Master Distance

If you're up for an adventure in East Jutland, you should join the Aarhus Adventure Challenge. This race is a true adventure race where you can expect to be challenged both physically and mentally, and your navigation skills could be crucial for the outcome on the results list. Aarhus Adventure Challenge is the Danish Championship in the Master distance. Here, the best Danish teams will compete for the title - but if you have the courage and desire to try a long adventure race, the race is designed so that everyone can complete it within 24 hours :)

If you're not into the very long distance, we also have the Fighter and Challenge distances, so there's definitely a distance that suits you :)

MASTER - DM

• Team size: 3 people
• Start: Friday, October 23 at 20:00
• Winning time: 19 hours
• Latest finish: Saturday, October 24 at 20:00
• Disciplines: Orienteering, MTB Orienteering, team tasks, climbing, canoeing, inline skating, and maybe a surprise or two.

Challenge

• Team size: 2-3 people
• Start: Saturday, October 24 at 09:00
• Winning time: 7 hours
• Latest finish: Saturday, October 24 at 18:00
• Disciplines: Orienteering, MTB Orienteering, team tasks, climbing, canoeing, and maybe a surprise or two.

Fighter

• Team size: 2-3 people
• Start: Saturday, October 24 at 11:00
• Winning time: 3.5 hours
• Latest finish: Saturday, October 24 at 17:00
• Disciplines: Running, cycling, team tasks, canoeing, and maybe a surprise or two.

New to the sport?

If you haven't done an adventure race before, don't be intimidated by the somewhat daunting time frames. The team controls the pace, and navigation can naturally slow down the pace, as you are the ones who have to find your way throughout the race. When the time is up, head to the finish line, and there may be loops that some teams don't manage to complete.

DARU License:

Personal license: All who participate in Master or Challenge distances in a DARU tournament race have a personal license.

The license is valid for a year at a time, and for all DARU tournament races, i.e. once you get a license, it stays valid for the entire season.
The license is automatically added to the fee of your first race registration of the season.
