AR Djursland - Rønde Højskole

Rønde Højskole is hosting an adventure race on March 29th for adults, children, and everyone in between.

The routes are set in and around Rønde, offering both stunning views and exciting, beautiful natural experiences. You’ll be challenged mentally and physically. Teamwork, laughter, and helping each other to the finish line are the key elements!

So, if you’re ready for an amazing experience, grab your family, friends, or colleagues and get ready to give it your all!

Of course, there will be fun prizes for all the winners. 💪

The race is organized by Christoffer Troelsgård, a multiple-time Danish champion in adventure racing.

There are three different distances to choose from:


Family

For families who want an awesome morning together. Fun, teamwork, and good experiences are at the center. The route takes place in and around Rønde Højskole. If your family is ready for a challenge together, this is the one for you!

Keywords: Fun tasks, pancakes, cozy atmosphere for the whole family, and lunch cooked over a fire.

Duration: 2.5 hours
Team: The family 🙂
Price: 300 DKK per team
Start: 10:00 AM
Finish: 12:30 PM


Fighter

For the tough teams ready for a challenge! You’ll be sent on a journey close to Rønde and nearby forests. You’ll face physical challenges and tasks that test your teamwork. Activities include biking, running, light orienteering, and fun tasks.
If you’re up for a challenge and new to adventure racing, this is for you.

Keywords: Biking, running, shooting, teamwork tasks, pancakes, and a good sweat.
Distances:

  • Biking: 10–15 km
  • Running: 5–8 km

Team Size: 2–4 people, mix/female/male
Bike Types Allowed: MTB, city bikes, or standard bikes (e-bikes allowed, but not for competition).
Duration: 2.5–3.5 hours
Price: 1000 DKK per team (800 DKK if registered before February 1, 2025)
Start: 1:00 PM
Finish: 3:30–4:30 PM

Post-race meal and prize ceremony start at 4:00 PM.


Challenge

Ready for the ultimate challenge? This route takes teams far into the landscape and offers an unforgettable adventure. You’ll bike, run, navigate using a map, and work together as a team.
If you’re an experienced athlete or have tried adventure racing before, this one’s for you.

Keywords: The "hidden Djursland," biking (MTB, no e-bikes), shooting, orienteering, nature-based OCR, bike’n’run, bike’n’push, coasteering, pancakes, teamwork, and endurance.
Duration: 7.5 hours
Team Size: 2–4 people, mix/male/female
Price: 1700 DKK per team (1300 DKK if registered before February 1, 2025)

Optional Overnight Stay: Friday, March 28 – Saturday, March 29
Registration and Roadbook Collection: From 8:00 AM (maps will be distributed during the prologue).
Start: 9:00 AM
Finish: 4:30 PM
Post-race meal: From 4:30 PM
Prize Ceremony: 5:00 PM

DARU License:

Personal license: All who participate in Master or Challenge distances in a DARU tournament race have a personal license.

The license is valid for a year at a time, and for all DARU tournament races, i.e. once you get a license, it stays valid for the entire season.
The license is automatically added to the fee of your first race registration of the season.
