THE RACE OF THE CHAMPIONS – BACKYARD MASTERS

THE RACE OF THE CHAMPIONS – BACKYARD MASTERS is a race where Top-Athlets will run together and against each other. The race is open end and follows strict the official Backyard rules.

Qualification to participate: To get an invitation, you have to be a successful ultra-long-distance-runner (Backyard +45 loops, Megarace-winner, Spine Race-winner, TOR, etc.). You can ask for an invitation, but don't expect an answer. ;-)

Course:
A 6,706 km long round course on farm- and forest tracks. 100Hm (300ft). The track can be checked here: Outdooractive-Link

Cost:
Registration Fee: 130,-€. Every runner will get a 100,-€ note back with his bib before the start. The runner has to carry this 100,-€ note the whole time and put it in a box at the finish line after the runner will get his DNF. The winner will get keep his 100,-€ note and get the full box with 99 x 100,-€ (Total price money 100x100,-€ = 10.000,-€)

Aid Station:
We will provide hot Water 24/7. Coffee, Waffles and maybe sausauges from the grill with be served for cancer charity donations

What is the closest Airport?
- FRA (Frankfurt Int.) is one hour by car away from Rettert
How to go from the FRA to Rettert?
- Well, that's the real challenge, because we are Hillbillies living in a Hillbillie-Area ;-). If you have a flight ticket, contact me for help. ;-). With a rental car very easy. Use your google maps and you are in Rettert within an hour. By public transport there are two some options:
  - 1. Airport Railwaystation with RB10 to St.Goarshausen - Bus 580 to Rettert
  - 2. Train to Wiesbaden Hbf and then by Bus 275 or X76 to Holzhausen. From there someone will puck you up. (3km away from Rettert)
What is the height profie?
- The Altitude is 90-100 meters per loop.

Is there a grocery store or something close to the track?
- No!
- Grocery Stores are 5km away, 10min by car. If you are here by public transport, many people will go to the stores and you will get a lift.
