The 29th International Berlin Indoor Heptathlon will take place
on March 15/16,
2025
in the 'Rudolf-Harbig-Halle' near Glockenturm Olympiastadion,
14053 Berlin, Glockenturmstr. 1

Event Organiser

The event is put together by the organizing club of the Berlin Decathlon Event LG NORD BERLIN in cooperation with the Berlin Sports Federation LSB and the Berlin Athletics Association BLV.

Competition Rules and Organisation

Every man and woman older than 13 years can compete - provided that he/she is in good health.

The athletes will start in groups of 24 heptathletes competing in seven disciplines.
Group 7 will be reserved for Pentathlon women.

 

Support during competition by the staff, final certificate, final result list  and a catering-package are included in the entry fee.

Squad Evaluation, 8 Rating Classes

Our participants will receive certificates according to their score in their respective squad (regardless of their age group). 

For a total score, we distinguish between seven rating categories:

Pentathlon Women (14y. to 80+) 
Heptathlon Young Ladys (2006 - 2010) - Women (1986 - 2005) - Senior Women (40 years and older)
Heptathlon Young Men (2006 - 2010) - Men (1986 - 2005) - Senior Men (40 years and older)
Profis = "LAO": licensed Athletes, competing according to the rules of the German Athletics Federation
and IAAF.

Brief overwiew of the event:

  • Day 1: 60m run – long jump – shot put – high jump (starting with 0.80m)
                and complete pentathlon on saturday

     
  • Day 2: 60m hurdling run – pole vault (starting with 1,10m/1,70m for licenced athletes) – 1000m run
  • We're planning 7 squads with 24 starters max.
  • Squad number 1, 4 and 5 are designated for professional starters, No. 7 for pentathlon
  • In heptathlon Single-, Double- (mixed) and Teamscore (4 starters) and "Devided by Three"
  • simplified conditions for non-professionals, assistance on pole vault

TOP 3 award ceremony at the end of all competitions, squad award ceremony at the end of each squad.

Additional Ratings with Reduced Fees

All competitors in heptathlon may opt for

  • 'ROYAL Couple'-Rating - woman and man, regardless of age (both with complete heptathlon), are rated together.
    or
  • TEAM-Rating - 4 athletes (men/women), the best three performances are rated.
    or
  • 'DEVIDED BY THREE' - 3 athletes start in 2 or 3 disciplines each
