Cold Hawaii Ultra is the dream of the ultimate Danish ultra and trail running experience through some of Denmark’s wildest, roughest, and most astonishing nature. The race takes place

Where the North Sea hits Thy with full force, where sandstorms raged for centuries, where the expanses are greater and nature is wilder, you find Thy National Park. From Hanstholm Wildlife Reserve in the north, with its roaring red deer, to Agger Tange in the south, where tens of thousands of migratory birds stop off to rest, Cold Hawaii Ultra takes you through it all.

The race features 5 courses:

    • 12 km
    • 24 km
    • 50 km
    • 50 miles (80.5 km)
    • 100 km

The longest courses start in Bulbjerg and finish in the village of Agger, following the northwest coast of Jutland. Courses primarily follow The West Coast Trail and ‘Redningsvejen’, the old lifeboat road. In 2025 a 100 km course is also offered. The 100 km course sets out from Bulbjerg and takes you through the Vester Thorup Plantation before heading south. The course will take you onto small single tracks in-between the dunes, down to the beach, and through coniferous plantations and small coastal fishing villages where fishing cutters are still beached every day.
