Affiliated Club Runners £12.00/ Unattached & Clive Purbrook Stable & Stud Staff Challenge Runners £14.00 and there will be a prize for the winning team of 3 within this category which must from the same employer and must consist of 1 female.

Newmarket Heath Race & Clive Purbrook Stable & Stud Challenge is friendly but challenging off road race on the historic Newmarket Heath. Our thanks go once more to the Jockey Club for kind permission to use the training grounds.

By kind permission of Newmarket Town Council, Changing and toilet facilities will be available at The Severals Pavilion, 2-4 Bury Road, CB8 7BP 18:00 – 20:30.

Prizes for the leading runners in various age groups along with separate prizes for those working in the bloodstock industry. The Clive Purbrook Stable & Stud Staff Challenge will award prizes to the 1st male and female from the bloodstock industry (in any capacity racing, stud, veterinary, sales etc) and there will be a prize for the winning team of 3 within this category which must from the same employer and must consist of 1 female. Winners to receive only one prize.

Senior Race at 7.00pm

Approx 5.4k – all off road.
(Minimum age is 15.)

Children’s Fun Run at 6.30pm

(Age under 15 on the night)
Approximately 1500m £4.00 entry

Rules and Conditions of Entry

Subject to current UK Athletics rules.
No iPods, MP3 players, etc.
Minimum age on the day is 15.
All runners must comply with all instructions given by the race marshals and police.
All decisions by the referee are final.

Catagories determined by ages on the day in all cases.
No individual to receive more than one individual prize, and will be allocated in the order shown.

CLIVE PURBROOK STABLE & STUD CHALLENGE TROPHY *

1st stable and stud* team.
(with memento for each team member)
Teams of three must comprise at least one male and one female runner.
Where an entered team is larger than 3 runners, the first male, first female and next runner in the team will be eligible for the prize.

*Racing industry and associated connections only (racing stables, studs, vets, racing school, etc)

NEWMARKET COMMUNITY SPORTS & FITNESS CHALLENGE TROPHY *

Teams of three must comprise at least one male and one female runner.
Where an entered team is larger than 3 runners, the first male, first female and next runner in the team will be eligible for the prize.
*Eligibility by being members of or working at a local sports & fitness establishment.
