The Stevenage Half Marathon began in 1984 and takes place annually with a full marathon every 10 years.
The event is a charity fundraiser, with volunteers from Fairlands Valley Spartans Running Club and Stevenage Scouts giving their time freely to make the event a huge success. All proceeds go to local charities, our 2022 event provided in excess of £8,300 in donations to worthy causes and we hope future Stevenage Half Marathons are just as successful.
Each year we nominate a charity to support and the chosen charity for 2024 is Pancreatic Cancer UK.

No. If you have not officially transferred your place to another runner, please do not give another runner your race number on race day. This can lead to issues for you, the runner using your number, the club, the race organisers, and even the emergency services. UKA race regulations state that athletes who run in transferred numbers in UKA-licensed road races without permission are to be disqualified. Both they and those who pass on the number will be subject to disciplinary action via the appropriate national organisation.
