Welcome to the Information Site for the Pinedale STAmpede!

The largest non-profit fundraiser for 2024 for the Sublette Trails Association (STA), the STAmpede is Pinedale’s only timed intergenerational nordic ski race. STA is proud to collaborate with a great team of local sponsors and partners to make the race successful in its 6th year. We are also very excited to announce that the STAmpede is now part of a new nordic race series serving western Wyoming and eastern Idaho, the Wydaho Nordic Ski Series.

Important Information for Racers

Friday, January 26, 2024

• (All day) Course Inspection

  • Use the maps to head out to the trails and check out the course!

  • Course is adjacent to White Pine Ski Area, located at 74 White, Pine St, Pinedale, WY 82941.

• (5 pm - 8 pm) Check in at the Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC)

  • The PAC is located at 535 N Tyler Ave, Pinedale, WY 82941.

  • Onsite registration available for walk-on racers.

Saturday, January 27, 2024

• (8 am - 9:15 am) Racer check-in at the on-site starting line.

  • ​​​​​​​Onsite registration begins at 8 am and closes at 9:15 am (cash or check ONLY).

• (9:30 am) Race start

  • 20K Classic

  • 20K Free Style

  • 10K Classic

  • 10K Free Style

• (9:45 am) Race start

  • 5K Free Style

• (10 am) Race start

  • 2.5K Free Style Kids Race (Race escorts provided)

• (11 am) Costume party lap start

• (3 pm) Awards & social ceremony at Lakeside Lodge

  • The Lakeside Lodge is located at 99 Forest service Rd #111, Pinedale, WY 82941.

  • The ceremony will be held on the second floor.

Details of the Costume Party Lap

• Suggested theme is 90s hip hop! But wear any costume that makes you happy!

• Costume Party Lap is available in the 2.5 or 5km distances.

• Prizes to the top 3 best costumes.

• All racers that registered for other events can participate in the party lap for free!

• Due to time constraints, 20k racers will sadly not be able to participate in the costume party lap.

• This is not a timed competition - it's a costume competition! 

Awards Ceremony Information

• Gold, silver, and bronze medals awarded in each age, gender, distance, and style of race.   

• Awards for the costume party lap will be given out for the quality of the costume!

• There will be many raffle prizes at the ceremony thanks to the generosity of our sponsors!

Other Important Race Day Information

• NO DOGS are allowed at the event or awards ceremony.

• When parking at the race course, please do not block the exit road for the White Pine cabins or other operations.
