08/10/2023 | Collie, Australia 2023 Crave MTB Challenge

CRAVE 2023 is DEFINITELY HAPPENING!!!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8th

  • We are mainly using the same magnificent combination of handcut, raw and new machine made flow singletrails. All courses are 70-80 % singletrack!!!
  • The courses are in the stunning setting of the Wellington National Park in full Spring bloom!
  • The Start/Finish and Race Village will be at the base of the Hope Springs Dam, conveniently located next to the carparking, on the picturesque Hope Springs Estate, overlooking Vineyards of the Ferguson valley and the Indian Ocean.
  • This will provide for a great atmosphere in the start finish zone and an ideal area to wind/cool down and recount tall stories of adventure after the race whilst having a free drink & some food on offer after the Event.
  • All riders from age 8 up are catered for with 4 different distances and age group categories catered for.
  • The trails are green and blue trails, while the 90km course does have some challenging short technical climbs along the Jabitj trail and long 3 x 1.5-3km climbs included for those who love a challenge.
  • The 15km and 26 km courses are great introduction rides avoiding any big climbs whilst the 45km course descends 3km to ride along the stunning Collie River Gorge before taking on a 3km graduated climb back up. All courses finish with 5kms of one of the funnest gradual descending trails in the State – The Grizzly trail – named after Griz, a local legend!
  • The 90km course will now take you all the way to the Dam edge at Potters Gorge before riding some of the best flow trails in the state including Elixir, a revamped Pippin’ Hot, Dam It and new trail climb Watts Up, before descending back to the river and riding upstream on the raw challenging Jabitj trail back to the top of the Dam Wall. After crossing the top of the Dam Wall (with the world's biggest Wall Mural on it) you’ll cruise back downstream on 5km bitumen next to the Wild Rapids of the Collie River.
  • Get your entries in now to avoid missing out as entries will be capped at the first 200 to enter!!! (please note if you can’t make it due to illness/injury or other we will happily transfer your entry to the following year)
  • This Event is run and owned locally in WA and we aim to deliver a great value for money and well organised event. We greatly appreciate your support and are sure you’ll love riding in this stunning location on awesome trails with a great event vibe.
