Heart of the Winds

Pinedale is located in western Wyoming approximately 70 miles south of Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.  We are at the base of the Wind River and Wyoming Mountain Ranges and at the headwaters of the Green Rivers.  Known for it's rugged mountain terrain, high altitude, and gorgeous scenery, we invite you to run along the banks of Fremont Lake in the half marathon, 10K, or 1-Mile fun run in town!  Each race is open to runners and walkers of all ages.

Every year, we conclude the day's events with a FREE community barbeque.  The BBQ is open to everyone including participants, family members, visitors, supporters and other community members.  The Lions Club works the grill with local chef Sue Eversull by their side.  After race music is provided by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council and refreshments for racers are provided by Wind River Brewing Company.  Please join us as we celebrate the morning's accomplishments!
