The course runs northward, parallel to the shore. From the starting line, you will swim out to a large yellow inflatable buoy and make a left shoulder turn around the buoy and head north. Swimming north and parallel to the shore, you will pass 5 jetties (large structures made of rock). There will be a smaller flag buoy in the middle of each section of beach, between two jetties, to help you sight the course. After you pass the fifth jetty, you will swim to another large yellow inflatable buoy and make a hard left shoulder turn around the buoy and head west, swimming in to the finish.
