RACE INFORMATION

On the occasion of Police Day, Istarska County Police Administration, Istrian Athletic Association, Regional Club IPA Istria, Special Police Unit Association BAK Istria, Tourism Office Pula, commemorate the anniversary of death of police officer Ivan Todorić by organizing the memorial race on the area of Valbandon and Štinjan as a way of remembering the tragic victim Ivan and promoting healthy lifestyle and sports and recreational activities.

The late Ivan Todorić was a young and promising police officer of the Police station Pula-Pola, among the best in his generation and an employee who stood out by his devoted work. He died on September 22, 2018 in a car accident while driving to work, in his police uniform he was fond and proud of.

Not only is this race a tribute to Ivan, but it is also a charity event whose entire income will be donated to the Police Solidarity Fund.

The Police Solidarity Fund was established with the aim of providing support for all forms of casualties and disadvantaged police officers, providing financial assistance to family members of fallen police officers, support in solving housing problems, children's education, social and health assistance, material assistance and healthcare to unemployed parents to whom the fallen police officer was the only caretaker, providing financial assistance in medical care of severely ill police officers and members of their closest families and material assistance to severely disadvantaged families of police officers.
