Rules & Notes

Although not a British Cycling event we will be running our races for the main part, under British Cycling Rules & Regulations

No mountain bikes or flat bars are permitted on the course, CX bikes only.

No cycling on the football or rugby pitches.

No dogs allowed at the venue.

 

Entry & Registration

  • 65 riders max in each race.

  • Entries will only be taken on the day if the online registration numbers have not been met, entries will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.  Please report to registration upon arrival.

  • All riders must sign-on at registration upon arrival and collect a number.  Riders must have a number pinned to the rear of their jersey and a timing chip attached to their left ankle (no chip, no result).

  • No refunds will be given for “no shows”

Gridding

  • The first race will be an honesty grid, riders will be called forward on how they expect to finish.  All other races will be gridded according to the series. 

Health & Safety

  • All competitors are required to wear a cycling helmet

  • This event takes place in the dark, there are no lights on the course so a high powered front light or helmet lights is mandatory.  No small LED lights & rear lights are not required.

  • If your lights fail or are not adequate, you will be asked to leave the course for your safety and the safety of others.

  • Riding on the course whilst racing is in progress is forbidden and will result in the individual(s) being banned from participating in the series.  Riders will be given the opportunity to ride the course before the racing begins. 

Prizes & Presentations

For 2022 we have some great prizes, including a week’s training camp abroad, personalised training sessions and many other great prizes.

  • Riders must enter all five races to be eligible for a prize.
  • Each race must consist of a minimum of three riders of the same category. Please note; junior & senior men are one category and junior, senior & vet women are one category.
  • Overall placing and money will be determined by the event organiser.
  • All prizes will be distributed at the prize giving, following the final event.

The CHS holiday will be put into a hat this year and all that have completed five races will be eligible for the draw.
