Get ready for the Stowmarket Scenic 7 on Sunday, 13 November 2022.

Race Headquarters and Start:

Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre
Gainsborough Road
Stowmarket
Suffolk
IP14 1LH

The Stowmarket Striders Scenic 7 is a relatively flat 7 mile course with only a couple of undulations. The course starts at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre and heads out through Onehouse and Harleston then makes a three-mile loop back to Harleston before returning along the same route through Onehouse and back to the finish.

For safety reasons the course will close at 11.30am. Anyone still on the course after this time may be running without the support of marshals.

WARM UP AREA

The warm up area is on the Stowmarket High School playing fields behind the Leisure Centre. Runners will be directed to this area and there will be signs to the start from the fields.

RACE START

The race starts on Onehouse Road, in front of the High School however, all runners should assemble in the High School car park before the race, NOT on Onehouse Road. When all the runners are assembled you will be led onto the road to the start by race marshals. This will minimise disruption to traffic and the chances of accidents between runners and cars.

Use of Audio Equipment

Audio equipment with earphones seriously inhibits the user from hearing traffic approaching from behind and clearly hearing instructions from race marshals. The use of all such equipment is therefore not permitted during the race.

Certificate of course accuracy SEAA 13/250.  UK Athletics Road Race Licence number:

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No. If you have not officially transferred your place to another runner, please do not give another runner your race number on race day.
