Join us for the first Penguins 5K benefiting the Penguins Goals Charity Foundation! The Penguins GOALS Foundation is dedicated to serving the community through a variety of interactive charity and community service programs. The Foundation emphasizes education and compassion with programs that strive to improve the quality of life by educating youth and supporting the underprivileged.

All registered participants will receive a free voucher for a 2023 Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins home game and a T-shirt. Each participant will receive a commemorative finisher puck. There will be top prizes for overall male and female and age group awards!

Parking Info and Route Details

Parking will be located at 59 Parry St. Luzerne, PA. 18709. The location is attached to this email. There should be enough parking for all participants in the lot.

Should the lot fill up, there is street parking around the location available.

 

The race will begin right outside of Cheder Menachem on the road. The road continues for a brief time to the start of the trail head. You will be on rail trail the majority of the time. It is a relatively smooth trail, but please be aware of your footing as there are some uneven surfaces. The course will be an out and back and the turn-around point is at 1.55 miles from the start. Please do not follow the wooden trail markers and only our race mile marker signage. There will be a sign indicating the turn-around point. A map of the course is below:
