Society of Nuclear Medicine of Puerto Rico is a nonprofit organization created to promote research, education and dissemination of new modalities in the field of nuclear medicine. It was created on February 10, 1971.
Objetives
Establish and maintain an organization of physicians, technologists and scientists united by a mutual desire to actively participate in developing the use of radionuclide in medical practice and research.
Attend socioeconomic and governmental issues that could significantly affect the quality of education, research and clinical practice in nuclear medicine.
Spread the knowledge of nuclear medicine for the benefit of patients, colleagues and the general public.
Encourage scientific research and actively participate in any programs or projects in which radionuclide are used.
Perform activities and programs with local, national or international societies of related purposes and actively participate in the teaching of nuclear medicine branch.
Members are committed to perform their duties with a high sense of professional ethics.
