Aim of the event

The purpose of this event is to introduce the kids to a running activity that is related to nature. By participating in this event, the kids will acquire knowledge about the importance of the protected natural areas on the island of Aruba.This event is organized in collaboration with Fundacion Parke Nacional Arikok.

Information about the event

• Race type: Trail Run
• Distance : 1K
• Available spots: 234
• Each team must consist of 3 students
• The registration limit can be up to 4 teams per school
• There are two categories: boys and girls 
• The team must be uniformed (school gym clothes)
• Contribution: AWG 2.50 per person
• The contribution must be transferred to the account number of the foundation
• Location: Saliña Malmok (At the open terrrain across the Fisheman's Huts/Kite & Windsurfing)
• Date: March 11, 2023

Criteria for participation:

• Minimum year of birth: 2010 
• Maximum year of birth: 2011

• The student should be able to run the distance of 1K without any difficulty

Awards will go to: 

• Top 3 female teams
• Top 3 male teams

Necessities

• Sportswear
• Good running shoes

Additional information

One week prior to the event the school will receive their bib numbers and starting list.

Qualifying standards for the 1K Divi Links Run

This year we have added a new element to the 'Kids Trail Run Event'. All students that will meet the qualifying standards are eligible to participate in the '1K Divi Links Cross Country Run', that's going to be held on Sunday, May 7th 2023.
