With distance from 1km to 10km this event is great for all abilities. With a fixed entry fee, you can choose on the day what distance you do!
This unique event was born from desire to create a more interactive swim challenge. Once you've swum your first 1km swim loop you'll emerge from the water like a true amphibian to the cheers from friends, family and spectators. After the short run/walk you'll dive (or jump) back in for another lap. Once you've achieved your target or simply had enough you can head for the finish line and grab your medal!
Can you evolve from the water and be as effective on land as in the water? If so, you can call yourself an Amphibian!
New for 2022!!!
Amphibian Extreme!! Just as above but instead of 100m run on matting you take on our 1.2km trail run between each 1km swim lap!! Don't forget your trail shoes!

Amphibian Open Water Swim Challenge:
1km to 10km Swimming
1km swim loop with 100m run between laps. Do as many as you feel on the day and cross the line to stop your time.
Amphibian Extreme:
1km to 10km Swimming with a 1.2km Trail run after each 1km Swim Lap!!!

Amphibian Open Water Swim Challenge:
12 years old*
*age as of 31st December.
Please note that swimmers under the age of 18 will be restricted to the maximum number of lap they can do. These are as follows;
12 & 13 years old 2 laps (2km)
14 & 15 years old 3 laps (3km)
16 & 17 years old 5 laps (5km)
Amphibian Extreme: 18 years or older.
Swim Forbidden Mandatory
1km & 2km >23°C <15°C
3km to 6km >24°C <16°C
7km to 10km >24°C <17°C
any deviation from these guidelines will be at the discretion of the swim safety manager.
