Ride For Zayed; Towards The Next 50

This year, the UAE will mark its annual National Day by celebrating 50 years of union between the Emirates.

We're excited to bring back NYUAD's Ride For Zayed Cycling Event, in its fourth edition this year.

Ride For Zayed aims to celebrate the legacy of H.H The Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan & this year's theme is focused on the UAE’s 50th anniversary celebrations! We welcome you to join us in fitness & in celebration.

The community ride is open to everyone from all levels. Participants can bring their own bicycles and helmets or loan a bicycle and helmet upon arrival- however limited bikes are available.

The ride will commence at Al Hudayriat Island, Gate B: LOCATION MAP. We will start off with a supported 10k cycle loop with the option to complete a further 5 laps to achieve 50km in celebration of the 50th anniversary.

The first 150 participants will receive a free branded NYU Abu Dhabi cycling jersey & participation medals for those that complete the 50km ride.

There is ample parking upon arrival and we are providing water and snacks! See you there.

COVID-19 Protocols - To participate in this event partcipants over 16 must be vaccinated or have the appropriate waiver. Your ALHOSN app must be showing ‘Green’. Participants under 16, who are or who are not fully vaccinated, are also required to show 'Green' on the Al Hosn app.
