The World Diabetes Run at Al Hudayriyat Mar Vista will be held on Friday 12th November presented by HealthPlus Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, A Mubadala Health Partner, and Moorfields Eye Hospital Centre in collaboration with the UAE Special Olympics.
Runners have the option of entering either the 21.1Km, 10Km, 5Km or 3Km run.
The Half Marathon will start from 6am followed by the 10K at 6:30am, 5K at 7am and 3K at 7:15am
The 21.1Km run will start adjacent to the new retail precinct of Marsana, the course will follow the running paths towards 321Sports passing CircuitX on the way to the entrance to the Bike Park, from here runners will enter the cycle track and complete the 5.3Km loop passing behind OCR Park and the Bike Park and crossing the seabridge, exiting the bike track and returning into the sunrise, runners will pass Bab Al Nojoum Resort and then turn and complete the run along the Heritage Trail as the sun rises over Marsana. Exiting the Heritage Trail, runners will turn left and commence a 2nd lap and at the completion of the 2nd lap runners will turn right and finish on the beach beside the Hudayriyat Island Whale Sculpture.

Marsana 10Km, 5Km Run - Starting adjacent to the new retail precinct of Marsana, the course will follow the running paths towards 321Sports passing CircuitX on the way to the turn point at the OCR / Bike Path. Returning into the sunrise, runners will pass Bab Al Nojoum Resort and then turn and complete the run along the Heritage Trail as the sun rises over Marsana. The 10Km runners will complete 2 laps.
The 3Km is a run down to the Circuit X complex before crossing over onto the Heritage Trail and returning to the beachfront finish line.
Post run explore the food and beverage outlets that look out over the beachfront having completed this amazing run on Hudayriyat Mar Vista.
COVID-19 Protocols - To participate in this event competitors over 16 must be vaccinated or have the appropriate waiver. Your ALHOSN app must be showing ‘Green’ with a negative PCR test result having been undertaken within 96 hours of event day.
Competitors under 16, who are or who are not fully vaccinated, are also required to undertake a PCR test within 96 hours of event day.
