The first edition of the Salzburg City Hill Climbs heralds a whole new era of road racing in autumn. Because with the innovative format, the fortress of Hohensalzburg becomes the setting for what is probably Austria's most spectacular cycle race. The route from Kapitelplatz to the Hohensalzburg Fortress is 900 meters long and there is an average gradient of 15% to a maximum of 32% over 120 meters above sea level that participants have to complete.
