04/24/2021-04/25/2021 | Dallas, United States of America 2021 DORBA Big Cedar XC

We hope everyone is ready for exciting races this weekend! The forecast will not affect our planned race course.

The adult course is marked with pink tape, and the 10u/12u course is marked with yellow tape. The adult course and 10u/12u course cross in several places so some intersections will be taped differently on each day.

The 10u/12u course is three miles long and has about 50 yards of a two-way section on the access road, this will be taped in an obvious way on Saturday. 10u will do one lap and 12u will do two laps.

The adult course is 6 miles with 500 feet of climbing. Pro Open and Cat 1 Men 19-49 categories will do four laps. The remaining Cat 1 and Cat 2 races will be three laps. Cat 3 will do two laps. Singlespeed 2/3 and Juniors 13/14 will do two laps.

We are grateful to Mountain Creek Church for the opportunity to use their property to host y’all. The Church will be selling food to raise money for their missions. Please respect their policy of no open display of alcohol on the property. Please do not litter nutrition products on the trail or ride bikes through the Patriot Pavilion. Church will be in session during the Sunday morning races so please do not disturb the church grounds or ride Texas Sunset before noon on Sunday.

The Dirt Disciples will lead a short prayer before each race session and will have a prayer tent available all day on Sunday.

Parking will be accessed from the East side. Not all streets in the neighborhood have signs so please go slow and set your Google Maps for 8701 Isom ln. The area around the Patriot Pavilion is reserved for Sponsors and Expo, please follow the directions of our parking volunteers.

We are still in need of volunteers to sweep after each race and set up/tear down so please contact race@dorba.org if you are available to help out on Saturday or Sunday!

TMBRA race plates:
Season long race plates are back following the success of the 2020/21 launch. TMBRA will use one standard plate for the 2021 Spring and Fall cross-country (XC) and the 2022 marathon (XCM) race series (Feb. 2021-Jan. 2022). Every race participant is required to utilize a season plate for race scoring and timing. After registering for an event you will be asked about your season plate status. If you pre-purchased your plate through the TMBRA.org website or you picked up a plate at a previous event then select "No, I already own one." otherwise select "Yes, assign a NEW plate." if you do not already own one. Select "Yes, a REPLACEMENT plate is needed." if you need a replacement for your previously assigned plate. A one-time $10 charge will be added to your event registration fee if you select a "yes" answer.

That P-word:
Yep, we are still fighting a global pandemic so you know the drill. Wear a mask (over your mouth and nose), don't crowd folks from outside your pod and just be cool and respectful of others. We all have to do our part. Please read our COVID-19 mitigation strategy/plan which must be followed race day: http://bit.ly/TMBRA-Covid-19.
