Welcome to the Montana Nordic Cup - Montana's premier nordic skiing league for competitors of all abilities!

A number of Montana (and Sandpoint) teams and clubs had been discussing ways to encourage continued athletic development for our youth skiers by providing more opportunities to race locally. As we met, we realized that the best way to do this would be to include all ages of skiers from the youngest to the oldest!  We have been meeting via Zoom since August of 2020 with the goal of elevating the ski community in Montana and the surrounding area through increased participation and coordination of local teams and clubs.  

Races have been coordinated so as not to have overlap within a given weekend in a given area.  This first year, given our newness and the COVID environment we are keeping it simple with points for different age groups and end of season certificates for age group winners.  In future years we hope to incorporate team awards, mixed teams, an end of season event and reevaluate our categories and recognition.  

Participants

Register and pay $10 for the season.  Racers will not be scored for MT Cup until registered. 

Adults age groups: 20 to 35, 36 to 45, 46 to 64, 65 & above 

Youth age groups:  U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20. 

Races will be scored using World Cup scoring. Points standings will be updated after each race, and a downloadable certificate will be available for all participants at the end of the season.
