SC20 VIRTUAL ROAD RACE 2020

This year the South Cheshire 20 Mile Road Race is going Virtual!

There are three ways to complete the SC20 event:

Option 1  

Single Run By An Individual Participant

Individuals to complete the virtual race distance of 20 miles in one continuous run. This could be a single lap of the race distance or a 10 mile Out & Back or a route involving multiple laps.

In the interest of sportsmanship runners are expected to select a route with a total min elevation of 300 feet.

A team competition will also take place, with the top 3 from each club, based on aggregate time.

The run must be completed between 09.00hrs on Sat 5th and 21.00hrs on Tuesday 8th September.

Note: Members of the NSRRA must select this Option 1 to qualify for group points. 

Option 2  

Relay Challenge

Enter a team of up to 4 runners, who can each complete a portion of the 20 mile distance in one continuous run so that the combined distance covered by the team equals 20 miles.

In the interest of sportsmanship teams are expected to select a route with a total min aggregate elevation of 300 feet

All team members must complete their run between 09.00 Sat 5th and 21.00hrs Tuesday 8th September.

Option 3

Multiple Runs by Individual Participants

Individuals run the race distance (20 miles) in multiple runs over 8 days (09.00hrs Sat 5th- until 12.00hrs on Sat 12th September inclusive).

Individuals run their choice of distance over several days so that the total distance covered in the above period is 20 miles. No elevation is necessary.

A bespoke runners’ number will be created for each entrant/team as a memento of the event.

Once complete, individuals and teams must provide proof to AV Timing using the link which that will be emailed with race instructions. 

**Please do not run the original race route as it is unsafe to do so without marshals**

All finishers will receive a SC20 medal, a personalised memento race number and a finishers certificate.
