A major source of funding for these projects is through fundraising events. COVID 19 and attendant social distancing measures have upended many fundraising activities which has forced clubs to be creative. , The Kiwanis Clubs of Constant Spring, Friends Across Borders, JTS St Andrew and Kingston have partnered to host this virtual fundraising activity to limit the risk of physical interaction while seeking to continue our mission.
We are anticipating individuals from all over the world will participate in this fundraising event from June 21 - July 4 a with the proceeds assisting us to continue serving those with the greatest need in our communities. Do invite your friends and family near and far and make this a challenge.
Key activities from the Kiwanis Clubs:
• “Terrific Kids” Programme geared towards character development in children;
• Public Speaking competitions at the primary and secondary levels to improve on self-confidence;
• “Learn to Swim” Programme and “Hike to Holywell “. This creates opportunities for children to socialise with others from other schools and also create experiences that they would normally have not been exposed to.
“• Project Educate and Engage” – Education and Stimulation through audiovisual aides, project for Special Needs Children at the Bethlehem Home.
• "Connecting, Impacting Changing Lives Through Mentorship" One week mentorship worship for youths enrolled in the Career Advancement Program at the Jamaica Theological Seminary
Support for our projects through this and other fundraising events will assist these Clubs in their outreach programmes.
