Pre-booked place on coach transport from finish to start - be at Cyfarthfa Castle, Merthyr Tydfil for 9:30AM. See RACE FINISH below for address and post code. No changes to bus option are allowed after 31st July 2022.

RACE START / RACE START HQ

Race start time: 12:00 (Noon)

• The race registration area will have three desks defined alphabetically by surname
• Pickup your race number, which includes the timing chips affixed to the back of it
• IMPORTANT - please write your name / emergency contact and medical information on the rear of the number
• There are 4 holes provided at the corners of the race number for safety pins
• Secure the race number to your outer layer of clothing, facing to the front

RACE NUMBERS: will be assigned on 30th August 2022 after the online entry system closes and then published on the 'PARTICIPANTS' page above. Noting your race number will speed up the on the day registration pickup.

WEATHER FORECAST

The weather in Brecon and Merthyr Tydfil can be quite different due to their locations, likewise the weather 'over the top' can also be different. Please ensure you dress appropriately for the conditions.

RACE ROUTE AND PROFILE

A challenging 15.77 miles with 2,008 feet of climb (figures are approximate). 

• Water stations - there will be five water stations
• Lead bike - 7 miles to finish
• Tail-end runner - Start to Finish

• Welsh Athletics licensed
• 3 miles to 7 miles - the scenery is stunning - the best 4 miles you will ever do!

RACE MEMENTO - 40TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL - TBC

A one-off 40th anniversary commemorative medal to each entrant.

ENTRY CHANGES - including transferring an entry - CLOSED

• Entries can be amended and transferred using the 'change link' you received in your entry confirmation email
• IMPORTANT - this facility closes on Tuesday 30th August 2022 2022 at 6PM
• IMPORTANT - no changes or transfers on the day, no exceptions
• no refunds can be given for injuries/can't make the race etc... no deferrals

PRESENTATIONS

Will take place as soon as possible after all the category winners have finished. As the race is organised for charity, there are only the following awards.

LOOKING FOR A RACE PLACE - DO NOT CONTACT THE ORGANISER OR RACE TIMER ASKING IF THERE ARE ANY PLACES LEFT / SPARE ETC...

Best option is to keep an eye on the Roman Run facebook page, people might offer them for transfer if they cannot do the race,  but we do not get involved with it, it's up to the two athletes to sort out.
