Cobra Running and Triathlon Club along with Sunfield Special School would like to welcome you to the First Cobra Run2theSun race over the Clent Hills! This all new course has challenging hills with stunning views to reward your efforts!

Race Date: Sunday 19th MAY 2019.

Start 10:30 am (main race) 10:00 am (Fun Run).

Sunfield Special School, Clent, DY9 9PB.

Free Car Parking at the school. Please follow the marshalls' instructions. Registration is signposted from car park.

Changing There are changing facilities at the school but no showers - sorry!

On the day entries There will be entries on the day with registration opening at 9.00am.

Fun Run Fun Run entries are on the day only, and is also chip timed.

Prizes Award to all finishers, with prizes to 10Km category winners, spot prizes and prizes for the Top 3 Fun Runners.

Race numbers and chips to be picked up at Registration. All communication is by email only so please ensure that you enter your email address correctly.

A little bit of history...
The race originally started as a 14K and was very successful in the 90’s but over a period of time the general consensus from the Running fraternity was that it was an unusual distance and perhaps should be shortened to a 10K. It was from here that the Cobra Classic 10K was born. However in 2018 the Committee decided that it was time for a change and the Race HQ and Course were moved to the wonderful and challenging Clent Hills.

Why not come along and enjoy the day and perhaps get the kids to do the fun run? It is around the grounds of the school, totally traffic free and safe.

Use of music players - for your safety these are not allowed to be worn for the duration of the race.

Cut-off time- there isn't one! Anyone who starts is allowed to finish.

The Fun Run

The chip timed fun run is ideal for new runners, partners of main race competitors and children, or use it as a warm up for the main event. It is staged entirely within the grounds of the school, completely free from traffic. The race starts at 10:00 am. A commemorative award is given to all finishers. Entry is available on the day only.
